The eWoFF.com site is up on previous recovered servers. The new servers will be deployed within next 2-3 weeks. There are a few remaining issues that will be corrected within next 2 days.

We are making progress but still not done with the upgrade process. We are no longer attempting to bring up the systems today. Our next goal is end of day tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/2/16.

We are encountering many issues with restore and rebuild. We are now focused on the new servers. Unfortunately, it will extend recovery time. We now are targeting to be up by end of day Monday, Feb 1, 2016.

Earlier today, a key server suffered a major failure. We are quite sure that all user data is safe. We are rebuilding this server. We expect to be back on line late on Sunday.
As a parallel effort, we are also building a new server. If we are close to having the new server working tomorrow, it is possible to that we will switch to the new server even if caused further delay. We will update this post about Noon on Sunday.

Move complete
Key portions of the move a complete. We continue to address remaining issues.
Update at 7 PM Central Time.
We ran into some issues that required us to make an late round trip between the office and the data center. Our new target to have site up is Midnight. We regret the delay.
We are moving the eWoFF.com servers from our offices into a data center. All systems will be down from 1 PM Central time to 6 PM Central time. If we run into any issues with the move, we will post updates here.

Network Issue - Status and Summary
Update 12/6/2013
We sincerely regret the network outage and various related issues between 11/11 and 11/14. Our contingency plans did not include an outage of this nature. We experienced many additional issues while attempting to bring up the sites on a new temporary network. Our sites had run in the old address space for more than 10 years! Various IP addresses were hidden in many different places. Most everything is stable now, but running a little slow. If you are still experiencing any issues other than sluggishness, please let us know via email.
Earlier this week, we signed an agreement to move our servers into a state-of-the-art commercial data center. This facility will sharply reduce any chances of failure or outages. We are also increasing our bandwidth and upgrading our servers. We will plan another significant outage between December 21 and December 31 at the time of the move. It should take is 4-6 hours to move and reestablish all services.

We are starting to make progress with deploying the sites on these temporary connections. All messaging will be degraded/disabled for next 1-2 days. We will continue to work with the logs and address issues as quickly as we can.

We continue to struggle with our primary network circuit and the alternate. We hope to have the alternate connection up with limited functionality later today. We worked with ATT during the night and they are onsite this morning. The sites will need to be accessed via a new temporary address that you will find here. Please check back later today to access the sites from temporary IP address.
We sincerely regret this. The actions of our network provide are outside the bounds of our expectations. Please note that servers and data are healthy and there had never been any risk to them.

Even though diaries are the most used feature of eWoFF.com, we offer many other useful features. Our other popular features include Photo Albums and Lifelog.
Unlike most of the noise filled sites and apps, we encourage you to record more and more of your life and share very little of it! When you make a effort to share only selected items that you think are important, other feel better about taking the time to enjoy them.

Diary continues to find new uses
Of the many features of eWoFF, the diary continues to be most used feature. In addition to a personal Diary, many users and tracking illness and wellness. Some are logging key events with the family including children and elderly parents.

We will be loosing electricity to our computers on Saturday while the electricians connect us to additional power. They are scheduled to work from 7 AM to 3 PM Central time. However, the outage should less than one hour during this period.
No data will be at any risk during this upgrade.

Network Restored
We sincerely regret our network outage.
The network is fully restored.
The outage was cased by actions of an AT&T technician. The nature of his actions made it very difficult to trace the error.

Privacy Back in Style!
Recent discussions of various privacy issues at major social networks highlight our prime belief.
We strongly believe that most individuals are of private nature. In most cases, individuals prefer to keep their messages, photos, whereabouts, relationships, etc. private. Further, we also believe that individuals do not actively seek out new relationships or engagements. When they do, they do on the basis of limited and controlled exposure.
Our users continue to create diaries and photo albums without the prying eyes of strangers or ever expanding circles of noise!

Intermittent issue resolved
For various reasons, our disk space usage has increased sharply over past few weeks. Between last night and this morning, we were running out of space for some of the functions. You may have seen intermittent errors with photo uploads, etc.
We regret the errors. We have temporary fix in place. We will greatly expand the available space over the weekend.

Groups within your Web of Family and Friends
We have started to introduce groups within eWoFF, your web of family and friends. Now you are able to categorize anyone linked with you in any number of groups. You can create as many groups as you wish.
Soon, we will be adding the features that will allow you to filter content by groups. Currently, you are able to filter for an individual. New features to be rolled out over the coming weeks will allow you to filter for one or many individuals or groups.

eWoFF introduces LifeLog
We have introduced LifeLog on eWoFF.com. LifeLog is an extension of the popular diary space. This feature allows you to track all things in life, from trivial to momentous. You can use one of the existing categories such as date, visit, vacation, intimacy, etc. or create your own categories. You can also associate individuals to this log entry.

Our outage today
Our planned outage to upgrade our key database server lasted much longer than plan. It was caused by a known, but expected error during the upgrade. The systems were down for so long because we kept trying to complete the process.
In the end, we gave up on the upgrade and restarted the systems. At no time any information was at risk of loss. We had good backups for everything; they were not needed.
